IRKOLIN EXTRA
WOOD STAIN WITH VARNISH

IRKOLIN EXTRA is stain with varnish, based on synthetic resins, light resistant pigments, fungicidal and insecticidal additives and adequate solvents. It provides decoration and protection of interior and exterior wooden substrates (windows, doors, railings, paneling). It penetrates into the wood, protect and shadesit. UnlikeIRKOLIN CLASSIC, it is very shiny because it contains varnish. It can’t be used as primer for IRKOLIN GOLD, because it has higher density than IRKOLIN CLASSIC and makes thicker coat at wood surface. Due to hight content of resin and varnish, it can not adjust to wood movements (spreadingand shrinking as temperature changes), so it’s better to use it for interior painting.IRKOLIN EXTRA is clear and tough coat applied with brush, velour roller or spray pistol. We recommend 1 –2 coats for interior painting and 2 –3 for exterior painting. If you apply more coats it will reduce clearness (texture and rings will beless visable).
Stir IRKOLIN EXTRA before use (shake by no means) –shaking makes bubbles and bubbles will deform coat. This stain is very liquid and contains big amountof pigments, which falls to can bottom relatively quiclky, so it’s also necessary to stir the paintperiodicaly during the work. That way you will avoid uneven colour of surface. Thinner is not required for this paint.
New wooden substrate, wood that is not previously painted, need to be softly sanded with sand paper 120 –180. After tnat, wipe the surface with dry brush and apply the paint. Don’t wipe with clothe, because itwill leave fibers on surface and fibers will make bumps in paint.
Previously painted wooden substrate has to be sanded, loose particles of old paint have to be removed, dust cleaned and than you can apply the paint. After 24 hours you repeat the procedure –soft sanding for removing lifted wood fibers, wiping of dust with dry brush and applying of second coat.
