IRKOM OIL PAINT

PRIMER FOR WOOD

OIL-BASED PAINT for wood is made from alkyd resins, pigments, fillers, additives, and solvents. It is used as a primer (base coat) on wood before applying finishing coats. Its function is to fill pores and surface irregularities in the wood, allow for easy sanding, and ensure adhesion of oil-based topcoats. It is available in white color.

Stir the paint well before use. Clean the surface and fill any irregularities with putty, then lightly sand before applying the paint. It should be thinned with 5% Irkom oil-based thinner. The paint is applied in two coats, using a brush or spray gun, with a drying time of 12–24 hours between coats. Sintex universal enamel is used as the finishing coat, while nitro-based enamels are not recommended as a topcoat.

Application temperature: +10°C to +30°C.
Do not use at relative humidity above 80%, or in direct sunlight, strong wind, fog, or rain.
